A DIRECTOR of Boston Town Football Club has been charged with fraud amid allegations he has been living under a false identity.

Boston Town director and player Laszlo Lovas has been charged under his real name Lorand Borbely.
It is alleged the Romanian national entered Britain using a Hungarian passport in the fake name Laszlo Lovas in March 2004 and then used the document to obtain a mortgage and a bank account.
Mr Borbely, who has made more than 100 appearances for Town since 2006 and joined the club's board last year, was arrested at his home in Church Green Road, Fishtoft.
He appeared at Boston Magistrates Court to face three charges relating to his alleged possession and use of a fraudulent passport.
The 29-year-old spoke only to confirm his name, address, date of birth and that he did not need the services of an interpreter.
No pleas were entered and, despite offers of a £50,000 surety, he was refused bail and instead remanded in custody to go before Lincoln Crown Court tomorrow.
Magistrates also approved an application from the UKBA for the initial detention under the Proceeds of Crime Act of about £7,200 found during a search of Mr Borbely's home.
Boston Town chairman Mick Vines told the Target it was a "travesty" that Mr Borbely could face a prison term if found guilty.
He said: "He has done a lot to help people and charities, paid all his taxes and doesn't owe a penny to anyone."
Mr Vines said he had taken legal advice and been assured the club had "done nothing wrong" and so should not face any sanctions.
He added the Poachers would be happy to have Mr Borbely back as a director and a player in his real name if he was able to return.
Besides his Boston Town connections, Mr Borbely has also played for the Magnet Tavern including in the FA Sunday Cup final at Anfield in April.
