TRAVEL: Lincoln protest rally and more trains raising the barriers
A large protest rally in Lincoln today will combine with an increased number of trains passing through the city to cause traffic congestion in the city centre.
More than 300 demonstrators are expected to join a march through Lincoln, starting from Castle Square at noon and working their way downhill over the next hour.
There will be temporary traffic restrictions in roads including Danesgate and Wordsworth Street as the protest wends its way down Silver Street and High Street for the 1pm rally in City Square.
And three extra trains every hour between 1pm and 10.45pm today means that the High Street and Brayford Wharf barriers will be raised each time - and cause delays.
