A WOMAN who blew thousands of pounds on a boob job despite owing more than £1,600 in council tax is hiding out near Lincoln.

Gwynneth Lester (59) is on the run from both the taxman and the police after refusing to pay her taxes.

She has been living in a caravan in a secret location near the city since going on the run from the south coast in April – even though a warrant has been issued for her arrest.

The self-styled tax martyr has infuriated Gosport Borough Council near Portsmouth by opting for surgery.

But the former paramedic and army driver says she stopped paying her taxes in 2005 after becoming unhappy with the service her council was offering to help with her arthritis.

"I paid my taxes faithfully for 30 years," she said.

"But they don't provide the service that you are paying for so why should I pay it?"

The tax rebel paid a visit to a plastic surgeon last month.

As well as boosting her boobs by three cup sizes, she had work done to her eyelids.

And despite an outraged reaction her borough council, she said the surgery had been well worth it.

"I just thought, why should I waste the money on them when I can waste it on myself," she said.

On top of the £1,664 she owes her council, she has racked up £715 for breaking court orders and missing court appointments.

And for Gosport Borough Council leader Dave Smith, the cash spent on plastic surgery is the final straw.

"She is putting two fingers up at everybody in the country," he said.

"We all have to pay our council tax."
