Tea and technology with blind society
There will be a chance to see some of the latest technology available to help people with visual impairment, as well as enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, at the South Lincolnshire Blind Society's free event on Thursday, September 19.
Aimed at people with sight loss, their carers, friends and also professionals who may be working with this group, many organisations will be present demonstrating what they have to offer at Finkin Street Methodist Church Hall in Grantham.
In addition, there will be advice and information on offer for carers from local organisations. Carers will be able to talk to professionals to find out what help is available for them even if they are looking after someone who has an illness that is not related to sight loss.
The National Blind Children's Society, with information about support services for carers of children with sight loss, as well as the Royal British Legion and Action On Hearing Loss will also be on hand at the event.
