Thief distracted betting shop cashier by asking for a coffee before stealing money
A MAN who stole from a William Hill betting shop was sentenced to a 12-month supervision order and a thinking skills programme.
Nicholas Noble, 20, of Elsham Walk in Gainsborough, pleaded guilty to the theft and also to attempting to steal a pair of tracksuit bottoms from Sports Direct in Gainsborough.

Lincoln Magistrates' Court.
Daniel Paulson, prosecuting, told the court that Noble had asked the cashier for a coffee and taken the money when their back was turned.
In mitigation, Lloyd Edwards said that alcohol played a role in all of Noble's offending.
As well as the supervision order, Lincoln magistrates told Noble to attend an alcohol awareness course lasting ten days.
