Thieves steal 3k litres of diesel from Horncastle petrol station

Some 3,000 litres of diesel has been stolen from a petrol station in Lincolnshire.

The fuel worth several thousand pounds, was taken from a garage on Spilsby Road, Horncastle.

A vehicle with pumping equipment would have been needed to carry out the theft.

Diesel was pumped from the underground tank sometime between January 7 and 10.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen suspicious vehicles or activity in the area.
