WILL the ruling group on East Lindsey District Council ever learn?
Do they care about the rural areas?
The fact that three Parish Councils have taken a relatively unheard of step by holding "votes of no confidence" in them, (with probably more to follow?) – and their candidate coming last in the latest by election in the Chapel St Leonards ward should be giving them some clues.

They have been working with the Planning Inspectorate, in relation to the much publicised "Orby Windfarm" Inquiry, scheduled to be re-run due to the tragic death of the inspector, to persuade the inspector to relocate this to their offices in Manby.
At the latest meeting it seems they were still defending this position in spite of the objections, based on sound logic.
Manby is some 21 miles away from the site, not on a direct bus route, and the change would disadvantage and create severe inconvenience to the local, and obviously affected people.
This in spite of the fact there are adequate premises in the immediate locality that have been used in the past.
Nationally their leader and our Prime Minister, has been waxing lyrical about one of his latest ideas "localism" for some time now, and the need for the local voice to be heard.
To me, so far, it has seemed nothing but a "gimmick" in real terms, as in this case.
