Tokyo Lincoln nightclub to shut temporarily for £250,000 refit
One of Lincoln's hottest nightspots is to close over the summer for a £250,000 refit.
Tokyo Lincoln, in the city's Silver Street, will shut its doors in early June and reopen again in time for the new student intake in September.

Upgrade: Tokyo Lincoln
The venue opened to much fanfare in August last year after a £1.5 million makeover of the old Constitutional Club, which had been left derelict for more than 15 years.
The planned work includes turning the ground floor into an American-style pool hall and structural work in the basement, which has been used as a separate venue for the past three months.

Joanna Simpson, spokesman for Tokyo Lincoln, said: "The club will be closing, as planned, during the summer slow-down to allow for phase two of the continuing development and building works.
"A series of closing and opening parties has been organised to celebrate the second of three planned phases of work at Tokyo Lincoln, which will see the Grade II listed former derelict building completed.
"The club is set to close following the special jubilee weekend club nights and will reopen with a major party in September when casual staff will be able to return to their positions. Tokyo will also be looking for additional team members."
