TOM HAYWARD admitted his future lies in the Triumph Triple Challenge after securing a brace of top-five finishes at Cadwell Park.

With just one round of the season remaining, at Silverstone's Arena Circuit at the end of September, Hayward is examining his options for 2011.

The 27-year-old had hoped to move up to the British Supersport Championship, but with at least £50,000 required to fund a full year in the series, he is anticipating a second season in the one-make series.

"It would be nice to do Supersport, but I don't think we can quite get the budget together," explained the former 125GP rider.

"You need at least £50,000 and it's hard nowadays to get that sort of funding together.

"It might be another season on the Triumph, but either way it should still be a good year.

"I've really enjoyed it this year. It's been good racing and I think it's brought me on as a rider."

The Saxilby-based rider was fourth in Sunday's first race and fifth in race two on Monday.

"In the first race, I got up to sixth on the first lap from 12th on the grid so I'd done the hard work on the first lap," said Hayward.

"I got up to third and was battling with James Dye, but he got me just before the end.

"It was quite a good race. It was just a shame the qualifying conditions weren't very good. Half the track was dry and half the track was wet and I didn't know how hard to push on the wet tyres on the dry sections.

"In the second race, I didn't get as good a start. Then someone went down in front of me and I had to take to the grass.

"By the time I got back on the track, I'd lost a few places.

"They were good, solid championship points. It was just a shame I didn't get on the podium."
