Town ranger cut with bottle during assault in Boston
A town ranger in Boston has been assaulted with a bottle.
A shopper in the town's Aldi supermarket reported to a security guard that they had seen a man attempting to steal a bottle of whiskey at around noon on Sunday.

The offender made off past Asda in the direction of Irby Street and was intercepted by the town ranger.
During the incident, which is being treated as an assault, a bottle was broken and the town ranger received a serious cut to the hand.

A suspect has been indentified but DC Remy Simon, from Boston CID, would like to trace any witnesses who were in Aldi at the time of the alleged theft, especially the witness who alerted the security guard.
