Traders to give views on future of shopping in Lincoln
Traders are being given the chance to help shape the future of shopping in Lincoln.
Managers and business owners are invited to share their views at the free City Centre Masterplan event.

Guests will hear from expert speakers and participate in training workshops inspired by the TV retail guru Mary Portas.
Called The Future Challenge for Retail in Lincoln, the event will take place on Thursday, October 18 at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel on the city's Brayford waterfront.

Speakers will include Andrew McMillan, formerly of the John Lewis Partnership, and Skillsmart Retail Ltd's head of business solutions Neil Moss.
Training will be provided by the National Skills Academy for Retail. It is being designed to help traders identify the skills, knowledge and tools they might need to grow.
The City of Lincoln Council conference will run from 8.45am to 2pm.

“@Saxilby_Mick - or cut down on the the big, fat salaries the bosses at the council earn perhaps? Parking in Lincoln is too high when compared with other towns. It's one reason shoppers keep away. What are your bright ideas then to get the punters back in eh? Lincoln is dying a slow death as a shopping venue. Take ELC for instance. Another empty slot in the Waterside.”

“I headed out of town to Burton Waters Marina where I parked for FREE for as long as I wanted and had an excellent meal at The Deli Bistro at a very reasonable price, service was good too.
Comfortable seating, warm and very clean. Would definately recommend. It was very relaxing and friendly.”
