Trinity boss Brian Little expects Jefferson Louis to cause problems with his pace
GAINSBOROUGH TRINITY manager Brian Little hopes new signing Jefferson Louis can hit the ground running and conjure up a special season at the Northolme.
The Dominican Republic international has been reunited with Little, who managed the speedy striker at Wrexham and shunned the advances of a number of higher division clubs to join the Blue Square Bet North outfit.

Jefferson Louis.
Louis spent last season on loan at Rushden & Diamonds from Crawley, scoring seven goals in 24 appearances, but previously starred under Little in North Wales, plundering 15 goals in 42 games for the Red Dragons.
Little believes the 31-year-old ticks several boxes in the striking department and hopes the Harrow-born frontman can cause opposition defences sleepless nights next season.
"I don't think I have seen anyone like Jefferson in the league," said Little, who has also signed Leon Hibbert, Emeka Nwadike, Leon Mettam, Paul Mayo and Luke Waterfall to his new-look side this summer.
"I worked with him at Wrexham and he possesses pace, strength and power and is blisteringly quick over 15 to 20 yards.
"We had the strength and power last season with the likes of Luke Beckett and Darryn Stamp, but Jefferson adds pace to the side."
The much-travelled striker will make the Blues the 22nd club of his nomadic career which has been spent mainly in the lower leagues.
Little revealed there were a number of clubs willing to sign him this season, but said his past working relationship with the 6ft 2ins forward helped lure Louis to Lincolnshire.
"When I heard that he was not totally convinced with the offers he had received from teams in the Conference Premier, I felt I might be able to tempt him to Gainsborough," said the former Aston Villa boss.
"He will give me options too as he can play up front with one partner or in a three and I would like to think he will have a big season for us."
Little revealed he may make further signings, but said he would now take time out to reflect on the business he had conducted so far.
"We have worked really hard and now we have brought Jefferson in, I think we are going to have a sit down and reflect on what we have done and what we want to do," he said.
"Sometimes, as a non-league manager I think to myself I am not doing nothing, but there has been a lot of work going on behind the scenes at Trinity and we have been fairly active.
"There is still time to listen to what is going on around the leagues, but I am happy with the work we have done in the close season so far."
