Wonderful woods: David Bellamy will officially open the Sir Joseph Banks Park this weekend.
The land was purchased by the trust in 2007 thanks to support and donations from many individuals and local businesses.
Trustee Claire Elwood said: "This event will allow us to thank all the individuals and local businesses who supported our land appeal and to spread the word of the park.
"Developing a crescent of woods and parkland for everyone to enjoy is obviously a very long dream.
"A project like this is very dependant on the help of the community and those volunteers who help with the day-to-day care and maintenance."
The Park has been seeded with wild flowers and trees have been planted including four copses, specimen trees and a lime avenue "framing" the view of the stump. An oakwood shelter will be planted at the end of November.
Hard paths have also been laid to enable access for all and numerous benches have been put in place.
The Boston Woods Trust was formed in 2001 to develop what it saw as a much-needed area for walking, bird watching, horse riding and cycling.
The trust hopes the park will be used by the people of Boston for leisure and for keeping fit and healthy.
Ms Elwood added: "Many people have told me how they have enjoyed walking in the woods and park and for some that it has helped them to cope with times of difficulty."
The Trust also has two areas of land, Beech Wood and Grange Wood, located off Fenside Road in Boston.
An annual Tree Planting Party will be held at Sir Joseph Banks Park on Sunday November 30 from 9.30am. Everyone is welcome to go along.
