Collings' got talent: Singer Michael Collings will be performing an acoustic gig at Zing Cafe Bar in the LPAC
Now, the team behind the weekly events is planning something a little different when Plymouth-based Collings heads to the venue.
Organisers are hoping to create a cabaret atmosphere in the LPAC's main theatre, where the audience can sit together around a table and enjoy great music, a freshly prepared Zing tapas menu and drinks throughout the night (including a free glass of wine on entry).

When Michael Collings first played Fast Car for his Britain's Got Talent audition, Tracy Chapman's version went to number four in the UK charts that week and Collings ended up releasing his own version. He also joined the Britain's Got Talent Tour.
"That was really something," says Collings. "We played the big arenas like the O2, Wembley and in Manchester, Birmingham and Sheffield.
"To begin with I was a bit daunted by the big venues but not now. And it gave me the hunger for playing live even more. I have been performing live a lot recently including pub gigs which is a different atmosphere. I am lucky to be doing what I do now and it's nice to still be gigging around everywhere. Every place I play is really packed, which is good. People have been really liking what I produce myself as well.
"In Lincoln I will be playing a lot of different stuff. Covers like The Beatles with Blackbird. I like a lot of John Mayer as well, in fact anything bluesy. I cover a few of Mayer's tracks. I will also be playing my own music – my new EP is coming out soon, hopefully in time for Christmas. I have written six songs for that.
"I really like anything acoustic. If I go out I always look for anywhere playing acoustic music."
Anyone who enjoyed Collings' performance on Britain's Got Talent will no doubt be wondering if he will also be playing Fast Car at the Zing Acoustic Club Evening.
"I think I have to," he laughs.
Artistic director of LPAC Craig Morrow adds: 'I'm delighted we have Michael Collings joining us for our first cabaret evening.
"Zing Acoustic Club has proved a brilliant opportunity for local performers to showcase their songs as part of our weekly bar events, but this night in the theatre gives us the chance to offer a great new experience for our audiences and is the ideal event for parties or groups to come down and enjoy a relaxing evening of the best local and national entertainment."
Michael Collings at Lincoln Performing Arts Centre on Saturday, November 17 (8pm). Tickets: £10 (£8 concs, £5 students & under 26s). Box office: 0844 888 4414, www.lpac.co.uk
