UKIP Lincolnshire County Councillor Tiggs Keywood-Wainwright investigated by police
UKIP politician Tiggs Keywood-Wainwright is being investigated by police.
Police are looking into allegations made about the Lincolnshire County and Boston Borough councillor.
The force confirmed to the Echo on Monday that it had received the complaint last Thursday afternoon.
The allegations are in relation to councillor Keywood-Wainwright's declaration of interests at Lincolnshire County Council.
A statement by Lincolnshire Police said: "We received an allegation on Thursday afternoon in relation to a Boston councillor and potential offences under the Localism Act, or electoral offences.
"At this stage, we are looking into the allegations to establish whether any offences have been committed."
An investigation into cllr Keywood-Wainwright and alleged racist rants on Facebook has recently been dropped by police.
She is a member of the breakaway UKIP contingent to have followed ousted Lincolnshire leader Chris Pain at County Offices.
After being elected to county office in May, cllr Keywood-Wainwright was elected to represent Fenside in a Boston Borough by-election earlier this month.
