Top honour for village B&B
A LOCAL business has won another top tourism award.
Chaplin House Bed and Breakfast, in Martin, has added an East Midlands Tourism Silver Award to the gold it won last year.
Proprietors Margaret and David Lockyer were presented with the Silver East Midlands Enjoy England Excellence Award for Guest Accommodation at a glittering ceremony hosted by East Midlands Tourism in Leicester.
Margaret and David Lockyer said they were delighted to be in the East Midlands finals for the second year running.
Margaret said: "It's wonderful to be recognised again for quality and attention to detail, as our focus has always been on providing the best visitor experience possible."
The awards, described by Margaret as "the Oscars of the tourism industry", were presented by television personality Des Coleman.
David added: "These awards reflect high quality throughout the East Midlands, placing the area ever higher as a key tourist destination.
"That Chaplin House is at the forefront is immensely satisfying."
Overall Lincolnshire tourism businesses did well on the night, achieving two gold awards, three silver and a bronze.
