University up three spots in Times guide
The University of Lincoln has jumped three places in the Times Good University Guide, out on Thursday, June 14.
It is now ranked 52 in the table of 116 universities in the UK.
It is the most progress of any institution over the last two years.
The guide attributes 'much-improved graduate employment, higher entry standards, better staffing levels and extra spending on student facilities' for the latest rise.

It also comments on the university's appeal to both high-quality academic staff and to students and the ten-fold increase in professors now teaching at the university, along with the continuing rise in applications.
Research quality was also a feature of the Times' ranking and the university's successful return in the last national research assessment exercise (RAE) contributed to the improvement.
The university received a £2 million boost in research funding, reflecting the volume of research judged to be 'world-leading' or 'internationally excellent'.
The university's vice-chancellor, Professor Mary Stuart, said: "I am delighted that Lincoln continues to move up the UK rankings. I believe that we are investing in the future of this institution by developing our staff and our campus. Our excellent relationship with our Students' Union contributes to ensuring that our students have the best experience with us they can.
"We are very aware of today's economic environment. By listening to and working with business leaders, we are responding by enabling our students to be ready for the world of work.
"Our award-winning collaboration with global giant Siemens on the School of Engineering – the first new such school in the UK for more than 20 years – is just one excellent example of that."
