Game makers Winning Moves say they had over 7,000 requests from Lincolnshire residents over what parts of Lincoln life should be included in the game.
Travel features heavily, with a community chest card even reading: “Your train to London (via Newark) is delayed” with the player receiving monopoly money as compensation.
It also features a chance card reading: “Swans have spent the day rampaging through your gardens” and ordering the player to pay up for the damage.
Graham Barnes, speaking for the game’s makers, said: “It is a big thank you to whole city of Lincoln for coming up with such wonderful suggestions.
“Lincoln is a tourist magnet, people come from all over the world we think they will be taking away an absolute snapshot of the city in a box and it will criss-cross around the world.
“I am delighted the board is now on the shop shelves.”
Nick Worth, executive member for heritage and culture at Lincolnshire County Council, said he expects it to boost tourism to the city.
“I think it will be a boost, it is leading up to Christmas and we are in that phase now," he said at the launch.
“It will make a big difference and puts us on the map.”
