VIDEO: Man v Food challenge for Lincolnshire Bombers American Football team at Lincoln's Ribs' n' Bibs restaurant
American Footballers in Lincoln are turning to a Man v Food contest in an alternative approach to pre-season training.
The team’s offensive line are heading to the club’s new sponsor the Ribs’n’Bibs American smokehouse on the Strait in Lincoln to tackle their chicken wing challenge, where diners are invited to try and eat 50 buffalo chicken wings in just 25 minutes – so far no one has managed to beat the clock.
But to turn up the heat on the challenge and bring in an extra edge of competition, the team will go head-to-head against the restaurant’s most dedicated customers in a Man v Food fight on March 25.
Will this help them be the first to get their names on the restaurants hall of fame? Co-owner of Ribs’n’Bibs Adam Morgan believes they could break the challenge.

“So far nobody has beaten the 25-minute buffalo wing challenge,” said Morgan.
“However, with the Lincolnshire Bombers battling against our most loyal customers, I’m confident that in this contest man will eventually prevail in the battle against food.”
Sam Pick, marketing manager at the Lincolnshire Bombers believes his team-mates can beat the challenge.
“I cannot imagine eating 50 buffalo wings in 25 minutes,” said Pick.
“However, our linemen are tough and big, so I’m confident the Bombers will rise to the challenge. We can take on even Ribs’n’Bibs most dedicated customers.”
