VIDEO: Morris Dancing Festival on the streets of Lincoln
Music and dance spread across city hotspots for Lincoln's Morris Dancing Festival over the weekend.
Groups of morris dancers from across the East Midlands and from as far as the Netherlands gathered in the city on September 1 sharing their art with the public.

Morris dancers from across the East Midlands took part in the festival.
Performances were spread across Lincoln, on the Brayford Waterfront, High Street, City Square outside Lincoln Cathedral and in several restaurants and bars.
On September 2, the festival gave members of the public an opportunity to try morris dancing with a dance workshop at 11:30am at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life.

A session for musicians follows allowing people to come and play their instruments and socialise.
Organiser, Liam Robinson said: "There are actual old records of morris dancing in Lincoln, specifically people trying to ban it.
"During the 17th and 18th century quite a few banning orders stopped morris dancers coming to Lincoln so there has always been a history of it here but of mixed popularity.
"The idea is its a seasonal ritual to celebrate the start of summer or middle of winter and we hope people will see what it is all about today and possibly decide to come and join us."
Steve Gross, from Gainsborough, is part of the Lincoln Morris Dancing club that meets every other week at Bishop Grosseteste University.
He said: "We meet from 7:30pm to 9:30pm and everybody is welcome, men, women, children and we even have a few dogs sometimes.
"It is very sociable, I've always been into folk music and dancing so it was a natural progression but I definately come for the social side."
