VIDEO: Nicki Minaj satirical Skegness rap video goes viral
Skegness may have unknowingly launched an unorthodox marketing campaign, as a satirical YouTube video about the seaside resort has gone viral on the internet.
The lyrics 'Fish, chips and donkey rides, a stick of rock with my name inside' kick-off the chorus to the tune of Nicki Minaj's number one hit 'Starships'.
The video tours the seafront, taking in popular attractions such as the funfair, beach, donkeys, arcades and fish and chip restaurants.
Entitled Fish Chips and Donkey Ridez (Skegness Summer Holiday) the song is performed by 50 Sniffs, a rapper from Boston.

Wearing a pair of badly faked Rayban sunglasses the singer pokes friendly fun at the town but soon gets visitors involved.
After singing with a line of 'nans' on the beach the singer embarks on a mobility scooter drag race on Grande Parade, against an elderly lady who is wearing a snapback cap.
Despite the video playing on some of the negative stereotypes hanging over the resort it seems to have struck a chord with locals, who have embraced it via social media.
Posted by user, Jimmy May, the video has already had thousands of views and hundreds of 'likes'.
Some of the standout lines from the song are:
'Take off my tracky top so I can get suntanned, then I go home to my caravan.'
'Ride to the sky on the Skeg big wheel, go Natureland feed fish to the seals.'
'Two-p slots gonna win the prize, loving life at the seaside.'
