A man has suffered in serious head injury in an ssault at a Lincolnshire nightclub.

This incident took place at around 1.30am at Central Nightclub in Broad Street, Stamford.

A 30-year-old local man was punched to the head and has been taken to Adenbrookes Hospital where he in a serious condition with a head injury.

A 32-year-old man from the Sheffield area was arrested in connection with the incident a short time later.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault, or anyone who believes they have any information to call them on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
