I AM fed up with people writing to the press about the gift or will of the Boston Road Recreation Ground.
As I have been saying for the last five years, it was sold to the town council for a little less than £64,000 in 1962 by Lord Bristol. The deeds can be viewed in the archives in Lincoln.
It is for recreational purposes and the benefit of the surrounding landowners. That is the homeowners in the Parkside and Barleyfields estates.
The restriction as to its use is a legal restrictive covenant and it is very possible it can't be lifted. Paul McCallum Sleaford
