I agree, this has been railroaded through as because mayoral thing was blown out of the water as the electorate were against it or not interested it. The Government could not afford to have PCCs dismissed in the same way so we have handed a fait accompli to save the Governments face.”

“"I visited two polling stations this morning and guess what. No-one going in!"
After months of telling us all "what a waste of money" this is and how you will be 'busy' washing your hair on voting day.
You somehow managed to find time in your busy schedule to vist not only one but TWO polling stations, not voting at either of course and then made time to comment on what a waste of time the whole process is.”

“How can anyone know who to vote for? Who are they? What can they know of a job that has never existed before? I think it is a token post, a PR exercise, a diversion, no one asked for it and i'd like to say no one wants it, but really its a matter of no one cares enough to not want a police commissioner, its a total non issue.
Now if we were to vote on Europe that would be another matter, not these faux issues, that are set up to try and convey some sort of democracy like voting on the house of lords or the AV semi-proportional voting system!”

“I expect the count will take about ten minutes to complete. I visited two polling stations this morning and guess what. No-one going in!”
