Waddington begin season with a 10-0 hammering from Retford United

THE new Premier League campaign got off to a bad start for Waddington United as they suffered a heavy 10-0 defeat to Retford United.

Boston Town had a good 5-0 win at Appleby Frodingham with a double from Sam Rodwell and strikes from Jake Portess and Guy Mantle. The other was an own goal from Appleby Frodingham. Meanwhile, Brigg Town overcome Caythorpe & Fulbeck 4-1

In the Central League Ruston Sports beat St Helens 7-1. Rob Cable hit a hat-trick with Reece Keper, Matty Corner, Ryan Varley and Jordan Bear scoring the other Ruston Sports goals while Matt Garner got a penalty back for St Helens.

East Coast hit Wragby for 10 with a hat-trick from Reece Mansell and a double from Daniel Connor and singles from Andy Parish, Tom West, Kieran Elliott, Jordan Bloodword and Craig Rawlinson.

The North League saw Scotter United take the early league leadership with a 4-2 win over Retford United.

HBW United had a 2 -0 win at Louth Old Boys while Bottesford Town beat Ordsall Rangers 3-2.

In the South League Billinghay Athletic beat Barrowby United 3-1. Coningsby hit six against Gonerby while Heckington United lost 5-4 to Rushcliffe Eagles. Ruston Sports beat local rivals St Helens 7-2 as Luke Shipman (3), Ben Steele-Morries, Zak Lilley, Luke White and Jack Prescott . Sleaford Town had a 2-1 win over Horncastle Town thanks to a Jack Knight double.
