With the season rapidly coming to a close just two games were played in the WJ Harrison League on Saturday, both matches seeing the winner move up in the table.

Waddington United, with an outside chance of finishing runners-up in the league, moved into third place above Ivy Tavern, whose game at Pride was called off, due to their opponents being under FA suspension.

And moving out of the bottom two were Horncastle Town who went above Pride.

Playing their penultimate game, Waddington visited a Market Rasen side with several players missing now the cricket season has started.

This saw Waddington collect a comfortable 3-0 win and a fourth league double of the season.

For Horncastle, playing their penultimate home game, they collected a 2-1 victory over sixth place Fulbeck United with a narrow 2-1 win.

For the town side they are ending their home programme in a positive mood, being unbeaten in their last three and with their final game again at home, against bottom side Blacksmith, their campaign should finish on a high.
