An amber weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for the Lincolnshire and East Midlands area.

Following rainfall on Tuesday, heavy rain this morning has prompted the Met Office to warn members of the public to be prepared for flooding.

A spokesperson said: "The public should be prepared for the risk of flooding and possible disruption to transport at first on Wednesday morning."

Driving conditions are difficult throughout the county and motorists should be wary of standing water on the roads.
