Lincoln United were one side that got their game played in the Jacksons Workwear Rental Charity Cup Third Round, but Metheringham must have wished that the pitch was unplayable as they ended up losing 6-1 defeated.

An Ashley Shephenson hat-trick and other goals from Alister Moss, Matt Jacobs and David Shape sealed the win for the Whites, with Aaron Harrison getting one back for Metheringham.

Scotter United was another game which went ahead as they beat Appleby Frodingham 2-0.

The goals came from Ben Smith and Michael Watson.

Ruston Sports had a close 2-1 win at Waddington United with Tom Bean getting both goals for Ruston Sports.

Martin Vance netted for Waddington.

The remaining cup ties were all postponed and will for ahead later in the new year.

In the South League, Boston Town had a good 5-0 win at Coninsby with the goals coming from Daniel Thompson and Curtis Yeatman (2) and Karl Tate.

A Rob Rowlett strike was the only goal in the game which separated Billinghay Athletic and Rushcliffe Eagles.

Barrowby United had a 5-1 win over Swineshead Institute.
