Woman struck by train at Wainfleet station
A 28-YEAR old woman is being treated at Boston Pilgrim Hospital after being struck by a train on Thursday evening.
British Transport Police are currently investigating the incident which took place on the tracks at Wainfleet railway station at 6.03pm
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: "The train involved was the 13.45pm Nottingham to Skegness service.
"A 28-year-old woman was treated by paramedics at the scene and was subsequently taken to Pilgrim hospital for treatment, where she remains a stable condition. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
The line was handed back to Network rail at 7.10pm. The incident is being treated as non-suspicious.
