Woman taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital after a reaction to a sports drink
A woman was taken to Boston Pilgrim hospital suffering from burning to the back of her throat after drinking a sports drink.
The 25-year-old purchased the drink from a shop in Skegness on Friday afternoon.
Police officers went to the shop and as a precautionary measure seized all the remaining unsold drinks of the same brand.
Local police worked closely with the Food Standards Agency and East Lindsey District Council Environmental Health Officers and it is believed there was no deliberate contamination.
