Woodhall Spa's Windley catches the eye as she reaches final of doubles event
Jade Windley defied the odds to reach a doubles final during a $25,000 Challenger event in Clermond-Ferrand, France.
The tennis professional, from Tattershall, near Woodhall Spa, was playing with fellow Brit Sam Murray and the pairing had some notable wins on their way to the final, writes Dave Marshall.

They eventually lost out 6-3, 6-0 to Diana Marcinkevica and Bibiane Schoofs, but Windley remains confident that the pairing could achieve even more success.
"We did play very well together and we beat some good doubles teams along the way," she said.

"We have played together before in some Future events and we teamed up for the Wimbledon qualifiers two years ago."
Windley, currently ranked 467 in the world (434 doubles), is hoping to match their recent success in another $25,000 tournament in Glasgow next week.
After that, the 22-year-old heads for Barnstable for a $75,000 event.
"I am targeting Challenger events more and more as I try and progress up the rankings," Windley added.
"The season doesn't stop really. I will have a couple of weeks in December when I have a training block, but the tennis will pretty much carry on through the winter."
