LINKAGE College's Toynton All Saints campus is hosting a unique scheme between seven specialist Lincolnshire schools next week.

The learning journey can be hard for students with learning difficulties and other disabilities and now in its 12th year, the College's Work Skills Weeks will offer pupils from across the schools the change to take part in courses such as building, car maintenance, horticulture, catering and painting and decorating

In addition to this the majority of students will experience living away from home for the first time as they stay in Linkage College's high quality residential houses.

These students will also enjoy a variety of leisure activities aimed at further developing their social skills.

Head of Learner Services at Linkage College, Trefor Howard, said: "We are very proud to be able to look back and see how the Work Skills Week has helped the life skills and education and then the lives of so many learners with special needs over the past few years. It is great that the Work Skills Week remains as popular as ever and once again over sixty learners from specialist schools are visiting us between October 19 and 23."

The specialist schools taking part are Sandon School in Grantham, Queens Park School and St Francis School in Lincoln, John Fielding School in Boston, Willoughby School in Bourne, St Bernard's School in Louth and Garth School in Spalding.
