Workshop organised to get Town Centre Partnership off the ground in 2010.
SKEGNESS' Town Centre Partnership will move a step closer in January when a special workshop takes place to give local residents and businesses an important opportunity to contribute to the resort's future.
The workshop has been organised by East Lindsey District Council's new Town Centre Manager for Skegness, Stefan Krause, and takes place on January 14, 2010, at the Grosvenor House Hotel between 9am and 2pm.
Stefan is encouraging representatives from retail, commercial, food and drink, leisure, accommodation providers, transport and the public sector, to attend to share their aspirations for Skegness.
Once up and running the Town Centre Partnership will be the driving force behind partnership programmes in the town, bringing local organisations together to share a collective vision that everyone can work towards achieving.
Stefan explained: "I have met lots of people since arriving in Skegness and I feel I have now got a good understanding of some of the challenges Skegness faces. There are lots of community groups and businesses doing some great work in the town and I am keen to encourage these groups to work together towards a common goal.
" It is important we have a good representation from all sectors at the workshop if we are going to make this happen. This is a real and exciting opportunity to be involved in shaping Skegness' future so please don't miss out."
Stefan is also keen to hear from people who would like to contribute or be involved in the Town Centre Partnership but are unable to attend the workshop.
There are 65 places available at the workshop. To book yours, contact Stefan on 07733099334 or e-mail stefan.krause@e-lindsey.gov.uk
