World crown so close for Sam ahead of Turkey trip
Sam Lowes can become Britain's latest two-wheel world champion in his arch-rival's back yard.
The Lincoln rider heads to the Istanbul Park circuit leading World Supersport foe Kenan Sofuoglu by a commanding 54 points.
With just two rounds remaining after this weekend, Lowes will clinch the title if he finishes ahead of the Turk or drops less than four points.
Lowes finds himself in such a strong position after securing his fifth win of the year in Germany earlier this month while Sofuoglu crashed out of second place.

Meanwhile, Lowes' plans for 2014 remain up in the air.
The 22-year-old is wanted by a host of Moto2 teams, including top French outfit Tech 3.
However, Lowes has an option to remain with his Yakhnich Motorsport and move up to World Superbikes with the Russian squad.
However, it looks unlikely Yakhnich will step up with Yamaha machinery.
Lowes is reported to have tested an MV Agusta Superbike in Italy last week, making them a potential partner for Yakhnich.
It has also been suggested they could run with Aprilia or Ducati machinery.
How they stand
