POLICE are hunting arsonists who set alight 14 crashed cars waiting for repairs at a Boston breakdown and recovery firm.

Seven cars were completely destroyed with another seven and a low loader sustaining damage in the blaze at Wakefield Autos in Bittern Way at about 8pm on November 24.

Investigators are looking for two men seen on CCTV cameras at the site at around 7.20pm.

They were wearing dark clothing, had dark coloured hair and entered the site from Marsh Lane by climbing fences and damaging steel panels later leaving the site the same way.

Officers are also trying to trace the occupants of an old style Ford Escort and a P registration black VW Golf that were seen in the area around the time of blaze.

DC Sue-Ellen Wilson said: "This fire has caused many thousands of pounds worth of damage.

"Someone must know who is responsible and we would urge them to come forward."

Anyone with information should call DC Wilson on (01205) 312235.
