A COUPLE from Boston were given a taste of the celebrity lifestyle when they won the chance to be VIP guests at a top awards ceremony in London's West End.

Jamie Moses, 32, from Frampton Fen and his fiance Claire Harvey, 28, won a competition on Channel 5's Live From Studio Five programme hosted by former footballer Ian Wright and ex-Page three girl Melinda Messenger to be guests at the 57th annual Variety Club Showbiz Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane.

Famous around the world, the awards ceremony raises money for sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and among this year's winners were comedian Michael McIntyre, Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey and X-Factor judge Simon Cowell.

Jamie told the Target: "To enter all you had to do was email the word 'live' in to the programme which I did and never expected to hear anything more.

"But the next day I got a telephone call saying we had won and could we go down to London for the awards.

"It was a really glamorous, black tie event. We had access all areas. Nowhere was restricted and we got to go to the after event party as well.

"We had an amazing time and met lots of celebrities such as Kelly Brook, Justin Lee Collins, Alan Carr, Dame Kelly Holmes, Tony Hadley, Martin Kemp, David Suchet, Jon Culshaw and Joe Calzaghe.

"They were all really friendly and were happy to pose for photographs with us. The next day we went on TV to be interviewed on Live at Studio Five about the awards and our experience at the event.

"The whole thing was fantastic and something we will never forget."
