Your chance to join in fun of the festival
WORKSHOPS and master classes are taking place in preparation for Transported's big weekend in October, a Night of Festivals.
Transported is keen to get as many local people involved as possible. During the festival, there will be a series of small carnival events that will happen in different places leading up to the main site, Central Park.
Transported is looking for volunteer performers and dancers to be a part of them.
Leading up to the festival volunteers need to attend two weekend workshops on September 28 and 29 and October 5 and 6 at the Assembly Rooms in Boston, where they will work with experienced members of Mandinga Arts on costume, movement and performance and be allocated their own special carnival costume.

Carnival participants will only be required to attend one session as part of each preparation weekend.
The workshops are free and no previous experience is necessary. A unique and exciting opportunity is available for all musicians based in Boston borough and South Holland area. As part of the preparation for Night of Festivals, the nationally renowned Paraiso School of Samba are heading our way to hold masterclasses for local musicians.
Musicians who take part in the masterclasses will go on to play a part in the Night of Festivals.
Masterclasses are taking place on September 22 and 29 and October 2, in Boston.

Transported is also on the lookout for 20 members of the community who would like to learn more about face painting and body adornment in a masterclass before the festival, who will then go on to show off their new skills as part of the Night of Festivals event itself. No experience is necessary.
There are two masterclasses which place on Saturday, October 5 at Blackfriars Arts Centre in Boston, one from 10am to 12.30pm, or 1.30pm to 3pm.
Participants will be paid for their time at the festival, and will work shifts between 10.30am and 5.30pm.
The workshops are free for those that live in Boston Borough and South Holland district – a fee of £25 applies for those that live in other areas.
