He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months on each count and ordered to pay costs of £450.
University of Lincoln, of Brayford Pool, Lincoln, pleaded guilty at Lincoln Magistrates' Court to failing to manage the risk from asbestos containing materials within premises where they were in control of maintenance. They were fined £10,000 and ordered to pay costs of £12,759.60.

John Robert Thompson, 32, of 4 St Rumbolds Street, Lincoln, pleaded guilty at Lincoln Magistrates' Court damaging a wooden door to a value unknown belonging to Derwent Housing and possession of a quantity of cannabis resin, a controlled Class B drug.
