“I think the best idea would be to tell the tourist expert to 'go see a taxidermist' in more abrupt terms.”

“How the hell will changing its name make any difference? Same buildings, same yobbo's grottos, same beach, same chippies, same holiday camps, same string vests, etc!! That much of an expert can't see where he's even managed to come up with a name himself - what a completely stupid idea; it's Skeggy, SkegVegas or plain Skeg and that's that.”

“Before we change Skeggy,s name how about changing "Leisure Property Services" to "Idiots dreaming ******** and getting paid for it Servics" or instead of "Westminster" "Calamity City"”

“I've said before, the best thing about Skegness is the A52, to get out of the place, or avoid it.”

“The best thing they could do for a start is to clean up and give a lick of paint to the building that caught fire over a year ago. I recently visited Skeg and parked in the seafront carpark by the clock tower; on walking towards the town after parking the first thing I saw was that eyesore on the corner. Admittedly a couple of small shops had re-opened but it was not pretty. I would have thought that the building would have at least beeen smartened up a bit, what a mess to greet visitors to the town? First impressions and all that.”
