Almost 10,000 people in Lincolnshire suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, a disease that can cause severe pain and disability. Those who are affected by rheumatoid arthritis – patients, families, carers and health professionals – are invited to get together at an open meeting hosted by the Lincoln branch of the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS). The meeting, held at The Ark on Moor Road, starts at 7pm.
The Lincoln NRAS support group was set up to enable people to find out what can be done to manage their condition more effectively. The group meets up formally on the second Tuesday of every second month at The Ark, and informally on the first Saturday of every month at the Starbucks on Tritton Road.
To register for this event please call NRAS on 0845 458 3969 or email volunteers@nras.org.uk. The NRAS network is made up of support groups all across the UK, members of which all have rheumatoid arthritis themselves so understand exactly what it is like to have the condition.
