Food and speech is highlight of festival
Novelist and newspaper columnist Rachel Johnson, sister to Boris, will be speaking at the event starting at 8pm on Friday, May 15, at the Lincoln Hotel.
But first diners can look forward to chicken and tarragon roulade, pancetta crisp and rocket or roasted butternut veloute with sour cream for starter.
Roasted leg of lamb, thyme braised potatoes and redcurrant sauce or apple, dambuster cheese and red onion marmalade tart with salad and new potatoes or sea bream with pea veloute and pressed potatoes are a main.
And then readers will be able to round the meal off with a chocolate tart with peanut brittle or baked alaska with cherry puree before settling back in their chairs to listen to the author of Notting Hell, Shire Hell and The Mummy Diaries.
Tickets are £25 or £20 for Friends of the Festival.
Call (01522) 873894 to book before Monday, May 11.
