LOUTH Town Council re-iterated its objection to plans by a town pub to install signs on the exterior of its building.

The Millers Daughter on Northgate submitted a planning application to put up eight non-illuminated fascia boards.

The planning application received objections from Louth Town Council earlier this month, on the grounds that it would be too much signage within the conservation area.

And last week, when asked to consider the pub's request for listed building consent for the same application, the town council's planning and environment committee re-stated its objections.

The committee formally expressed its support for applications for a two-storey extension to St Michael's Vicarage on Little Lane, the building of three industrial units at Internet Fusion on Fairfield Industrial Estate, and the erection of replacement water treatment works on Horncastle Road.

An amended application to include the chimney in the demolition of the warehouse at the foot of Cinder Lane was also supported.

A decision on the applications will be made by East Lindsey District Council.
