Lincoln store London Camera Exchange is running the camera show – now in its tenth year – at Lincoln Drill Hall, in Free School Lane.
Visitors will be able to try out kit, speak to experts and see demonstrations of the latest products.
Dave Riley, manager at London Camera Exchange's Silver Street shop, said: "The competition has a very broad theme as we wanted it to be all inclusive – it could be anything from rare birds to a pet dog.
"What we're looking for is a really imaginative image on the theme of wildlife.
"We're welcoming photos by professional or amateur photographers to pictures taken on mobile phones."
People can enter images via e-mail between Tuesday, October 1 and October 31.
During this time, the pictures will be uploaded to the company's Facebook page.
Danny Green will then pick the winners, who will be informed ahead of the event and presented with their prizes on the day itself.
Their shots will also be displayed at the show in front of around 1,000 visitors.
Second prize is a signed Danny Green print and third prize is a £50 voucher for London Camera Exchange.
Mr Riley said: "It's a chance for people to enjoy photography and just get out there.
"Even if people don't feel they are that good at it, we want to give them the opportunity to take photos and show others their work."
At the show, people can enjoy free seminars from professional photographers, see demonstrations from Canon, Nikon and Sony and get their hands on new equipment at a used camera market.
Competition entries should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org
E-mails should include people's names and daytime phone numbers.
