A WOMAN from Boston has taken in three kittens and their mother after they were dumped in an alleyway in a shoebox.

Judy Buckingham was alerted by her neighbour that the box of tiny kittens – barley a few weeks old, had been dumped in a walk-through by Revesby Avenue, with what is thought to be their mother.

SHAMELESSLY DUMPED: This tabby and three kittens were dumped in a walk way near Revesby Avenue.

Judy said: "My neighbour came across them on her way to work and knew that I would take them in.

"It's heartbreaking as the mother is so loving and affectionate and her kittens are barely old enough to be walking.

"I'm absolutely disgusted that someone could just disregard them like that."

Due to her own pets, Jude is unable to keep the cats on a permanent basis and is struggling for space.

She added: "I'm keeping them in my bathroom at the moment which is not fair for them but I know my other cats will not take kindly to them.

"I have tried various cat charities but they are full to bursting so can't help me out.

"There's no way I can abandon them but I really don't know what to do with them until they are old enough to leave their mother."

The cats have been checked over by a vet who thinks that they are around three weeks old but will still need at least another month with their mother.

Judy said: "I just hope that I will be able to find genuine loving homes for them all.

"If this story inspires just a few people to have their cats spayed then I will be very happy."
