THE Montessori nursery in Caistor is launching a new qualification aimed at classroom assistants.

The Montessori teacher training base at Top House, Caistor, is offering a level-two qualification in the Montessori approach, an alternative education ethos that allows children to learn through doing things independently.

The course, delivered on Tuesday and some Saturdays, is open to anyone.

Tutor Theresa Ellerby said: "We're pleased to be offering this qualification, which brings together high-quality theory and practice in a Montessori school."
