A West Lindsey theatre school has launched a search for children and teenagers to take part in a production with an international flavour.

Trinity Performing Arts, based in Morton, near Gainsborough, is staging UNICEF's youth musical Thursday's Child this summer.

The show will be in July at the Trinity Arts Centre in the town.

"It follows the adventures of a group of children on a journey in search of a home and happiness through a war-torn country," said TPA principal Jemma Carlisle.

"Vibrant, dramatic and sometimes humorous, the show was commissioned by UNICEF (the United Nations Children's Fund) in 1999 from local writer Greg Snape and has been widely performed throughout the world.

"The show requires an unusually large cast so there are plenty of really good parts for all. If you love to sing, dance or act, why not come along and get involved?"

Sessions take place every term-time Saturday morning at Morton Village Hall, in Crooked Billet Street, from 10am until 1pm.
