Stuart Stanley, 32, of Calderbraes Avenue, Glasgow, and Adam Pollock, 24, of Blackstone Crescent, Glasgow, pleaded not guilty to affray at Lincoln Magistrates' Court yesterday.
The charges were made after Lincoln City's clash with Celtic on Saturday.
Solicitor Sunil Khanna, representing the two men, told the court there was no reason for them to have been held in cells over the weekend.
Mr Khanna said: "They have been in custody since Saturday for no other reason than they are Scottish. "These two men should have been granted unconditional bail."
They were released yesterday and are due to appear before magistrates on Tuesday, August 17.
Two other men from Lincolnshire have also been charged.
Jason Dumphreys, 40, of Witham St Hughs, was charged with a public order offence and bailed until August 10.
Benjamin Mole, 24, of Eastgate in Bassingham, was charged a public order offence and bailed until August 13.
