The guest of honour at one Lincoln wedding was a little different – he was the bride's pet dog.

Seven-year-old chihuahua Vinny, who has a wardrobe full of doggy clothes, went down a storm with guests at the marriage of Emma Forrest and Michael Forrest-Leigh.

He sported a chic white shirt, black jacket and black bowtie, teamed with a purple collar emblazoned with his name.

Jeweller Emma (34) (now Mrs Forrest-Leigh) sprung some fun surprises for her new husband at the ceremony at the White Hart Hotel in Bailgate.

Forty guests attended the wedding breakfast and about 70 went to the evening party.

They expected nothing less from Mrs Forrest-Leigh, who is art and design programme manager at The College of West Anglia in Kings Lynn.

Her commissions include the silver and plastic tiara and bodice worn by rock singer Toyah Willcox to promote her Throwback to the Eighties Tour.

She also made the wedding rings, attendants' jewellery, designed labels for sauce bottles on the buffet table, produced music CDs for the guests and organised a video of the happy couple.

"Vinny's a real character. He walked down the aisle and was even allowed on the dance floor," she said.

Emma and Michael (51), from Bracebridge Heath, now wear two nine-carat gold rings made by the jeweller.

Rhiannon McQuillan (13), who was bridesmaid wore a silver necklace with her name on it.

Her brother Mason (six), who was pageboy, showed off a fabulous rubber necklet, with a silver dogtag, bearing his name.

"I've decided to use these pieces to launch my new range of wedding jewellery," said Mrs Forrest-Leigh.
