Royal Mail Woes

The recessionary woes tell a sorry tale

Including the proposed sell-off of our sacred Royal Mail

With losses they are mounting and it's easy to see why

Spending so much on rubber the price has gone sky high

On verges, roads and footpaths in almost every street

Red elastic bands are in abundance at our feet.

Posties simply ditch them while doing their daily grind

It's hardly eco-friendly, their standards have declined

This couldn't-care-less attitude saves little or no time

The Bin Police should penalize and issue a hefty fine

So come on all you posties, you have a company to savour

Recover all your 'laggy' bands and do us all a favour.
