THE latest book in Disney's Wonderful World of Knowledge series, available with the Lincolnshire Echo, has everything you need to know about the movers and shakers through history.

The 19th edition in the series is Famous People, due out tomorrow.

Mickey and his pals will guide little learners through fascinating facts on centuries-old world leaders, Olympic acrobats and pioneers of medicine to make sure they have the finger on the pulse of history's information vein.

Previously little known people such as Hua Tuo (died 203 B.C),who invented the first herbal pain killer for surgery and Olga Korbut who won gold at the 1972 Munich Olympics for her beam and floor exercises are given a mention.

More well known history greats include former Prime Minister Winston Churchill, Lincolnshire's own Isaac Newton and Harry Potter author J.K Rowling are also included.

Local historian Peter Washbourn (73) said the Famous People book will be a great way to get children interested in history.

"Anything that get's children interested in history is great and I'm pleased to see that they have included Lincolnshire's most famous sons, Isaac Newton," said Mr Washbourn of south Lincoln.

"Isaac Newton was very important to the county, becoming most famous of course for his discovery of gravity."

Famous People will be available with tomorrow's Echo or you can get it using the Echo catch-up tokens which will be available for the rest of the week.

Look out for book 20 in the Wonderful World of Knowledge series, Transport, from Tuesday, June 16.
